mini cooper with Iphone & Ipod

Hello,

apologies if there is a thread for this i am new to the forum.

i have just purchase a 08 mini cooper and im trying to get my display to reconise my iphone and ipod.

i can play both through the car speaker but have to use the devises to control the tracks.

i want the car to be able to do this instead any suggestions how i can get the car to recognise the devises and tracks?

many thanks

That means you'll only ever get audio only, no text display is possible without the USB connection.

If it's a major issue, you'll need to get an after market bit of kit, like a Denison If you have a Boost radio the Gateway 500 will fit, but will need a CD Changer to work. This will give you full control over the iPhone or iPod. If you don't have a CDC, but know someone with one that you could borrow, you can get the car recoded for the CDC, give it back and then fit the Gateway.

I had one of these in the BMW I've just got rid of - good piece of kit if you want to get iPod control through your existing radio and controls.
