source for custom door sills?

Does anyone know if it's possible for custom door sill plates to be made up?

One on my Mini curled up (repaired, not, then replaced under warranty) but while that was happening it occurred to me that they're just stuck on. It could be done as vinyl but really needs to be of similar material to be 'silly'.

Cool so you are looking for one off really out there design
Well Vinyl like you sad would be good you could keep your eyes open on eBay for an old set of step covers and then get them covered vinyl or graphic design shop they will pritty much do what you want could put parts or photos on them

Other alternative is to get an old set of covers and get them painted up by an artist with an airbrush and laquared them there should be a few around doing motor bike crash helmets but that will not be cheep but amazing art work.
I had a few crash helmets done with some amazing finishes and art work

Anyway when you get the final result post some pictures :-)
