| Another Iphone/Ipod question! Hi Everyone,
First post here so take it easy on me if i've missed something obvious.
After months of deliberating, picked up my first mini a couple of weeks back.
A Clubbie cooper s 08 plate.
Happy with the car, great fun and can see what the charm is that everyone seems to fall for, but i do have one small little gripe that is bugging me.
After searching across many forums and threads, i see there are a number of different ways of hooking up the ipods/iphones into the minis, most of which are named the same by most people, so gets a bit confusing! but still can't find the answer to my question!
Basically i have the Ipod retrofit kit (part number 65110035959) which gives the ipod connector in a little storage box above the glove box, and an interface box that is hidden away behind it.
The iphone4 connects and works as it should, playing music through the CDC funtion and able to view playlists, albums and tunes.
Problem is it won't charge, which seems to be the old thing where the old Ipods used one voltage (12v?) and all the new stuff uses the new voltage (5v i think?).
So after all of above, does anyone have experience of changing the connector lead to the interface box to the new version ( part num 65112154179 i think is the newer version of the lead) and does it charge the new iphones and maintain the same connectivity/functionality to the radio unit?
Thanks in advance
