Blackberry and Bluetooth connection issues?

I've had my Mini Cooper D a good part of nearly 2 years now for which I have the bluetooth option.

I have a Blackberry 9800 Torch which I connect to this and it work fine when it's connected.

The problem that i have is that intermittently, my BB won't connect automatically so I have to go through the who procedure of pairing the phone up again. I would say it happens approx. 1 time in every 3 on average.

I have tried different procedures e.g. switch on bluetooth a few seconds after the ignition key is inserted or switch BT on first on the phone and all to no avail.

Sometimes it just works as intended and I don't need to do nothing.

I know it's not the phone as I dont have this problem when driving my other car (Porsche bluetooth) or previous car (BMW with Bury car kit) and when I had an Android phone (my old one) it connected the Mini BT system every time so can only conclude that perhaps it's the combination of Mini BT and Blackberry?

Anyone else have this problem and did you have a solution?

Maybe see if there is a software upgrade for the BT unit on your car.

I've always had intermittent issues with getting BBs to stay connected to cars.

Converted to iPhone....no problems since.
