Guys I have noticed recently a bit of an issue with the Mrs mini,
When I go out to it in the morning, remote unlock, and as I open the door the CD player can be heard trying to eject. There is no CD inserted in the player. I am pretty sure its the CD player and its not being doing it before. It is a 57plate Cooper. Has anyone seen and fixed this problem?
There has definately not been a cd in the player for a couple of weeks. It also just seems to do it if the car has been left overnight, so its not every time I unlock the car. Today I have put a CD in the player, so we will see what its like tomorrow morning. I will report back. I had a search on NAM but some say it should do that...really? Ive had the car for 3yrs and never noticed it until the last few weeks, unless its always normally had a CD in there. I wouldn't think that this would be a 'feature'.
Update:
CD left in the CDplayer overnight, and this morning when the car was unlocked there was no cd ejecting sound or the cd itself ejecting. If thats what is needed to stop the noise then fine, but what an unusual (read silly) feature.
I assume its a real good battery still? When the temperature starts to drop overnight at this time of year the battery voltage could be dropping to the point it starts to cause problems with equipment, could be a sign a cell is starting to go?
