Sat Nav Firmware & Latest Nav DVD

All

Picked up a 58 plate, December '08 car and it's got the original navigation dvd. Therefore, can anyone please provide information about upgrading the navigation firmware and purchasing of a new 2012 map dvd?

Much appreciated
Nick

I have an 08 and just upgraded the nav discs. Picked up the updates at Mini, about $200.00. Very easy to load yourself.

Thanks for the info.

As a follow up to my situation, I've just bought an upgrade pack from satnavupgrades.co.uk Will post my experience as I get the disk and try the upgrade.

How did it go? I thought you needed a license key for second generation cars?

Using the disk from Mini there was nothing to do but load the disc and the system does the rest. No license key needed.

Go to satnavupgrades.co.uk and buy the latest 2012 DVD. Very good service and you can contact the owner and he will respond quickly. I bought 2 DVD from the site since 2008. I've got a 07 plate R56 MCS. Straightforward install and no key requires.
