Navigation - Map & Display questions

Afternoon

I've upgraded my navigation and finally got to see it in action [previous disk at purchase was badly scratched].

Q1. Can the map display be changed from black / night to white / day etc?
Q2. Can the display show the map onscreen as you're travelling without a destination inputed? I like to drive with a map on screen, regardless of weather I'm following directions or not. In all my other cars I've owned with integrated nav, Ii've been able to do this.

Many thanks
Nick

My 2009 Dooper with Nav can show map without having input a destination. Pretty sure you won't get traffic info as it doesn't know where you're going. You can probably get it by going into the traffic info page though.
Not aware of night / day colour scheme.

The Nav in my 2011 car does show the 'busy traffic' arrows on the road if there are any hold ups but this is of limited use! I believe there is a night view (beyond the auto dimming function) - if you're on the map, push the joystick to the right for the submenu and I think it's in there. I will check.
