Play music through bluetooth on Radio boost CD

i have a 2009 Mini Coooper, and i cant seem to be able to connect any phone through bluetooth to play music wirelessly.
i have the boost CD, got the usb, Aux, and im able to connect my phone through bluetooth for phone calls only...can it play music too? or just as a phone?

If it's a 2009, then pretty sure you need either a cable or an arm rest and snap-in (and necessary wiring) - can't do Bluetooth although it might depend on phone too.

Music streaming requires A2DP bluetooth compatibility, which MINI did not see fit to add to their stereos. I have an '08 JCW with Boost and phone bluetooth, my sister has a 62 (2012) ONE with visual boost and phone bluetooth. Neither support A2DP, so we both bought Y-cables to use with our iPhone 4 and 4S respectively.
It's annoying that you have to plug in to listen to music but in fairness I'd always plug my phone in anyway, as the battery needs charging so often!
