Not sure if you are still interested but the same thing has happened to mine recently. I got it looked it while in at the dealers for warranty engine work and they found that my two year old had inserted some coins in the cd slot and they had shorted out a component. All fuses intact but the stereo is a write off! Worst still, the quote to replace the stereo (which was poor in the first place) was £750! I have posted before about upgrade options but it looks like I will have to get serious now as I am never going to pay this amount for a such a poor unit. I am hoping to fit an Alpine single din IPod unit in the secret dash compartment but have no idea how to connect up, has anyone any advice? I will also do the channel swap to get over the handicapped speaker issue.
