| HK Retrofit possibilities??
Hi,
I have a December 2009 Cooper S convertible with Boost 6 speaker audio. It has USB/Aux and 6 disk CD changer. It sounds rubbish.
My last 1st gen mini had Harman Kardon speakers and wonder if it is possible to retrofit a HK system?
I initially didn't think it possible unless I had the HIFI system. It looks like HIFI is no longer an option from the beginning of 2009 being replaced with the HK upgrade as the only choice. There also appears to be an amp under the passenger seat. Will the HK amp plug in here? I have read that if it were a HIFI system, it would.
My plan is to get all the components from a breaker who is dismantling an 09 cooper s and swapping over.
I suspect it wont be that simple but finding the amp has go me wondering.
