I have recently taken delivery of a 2013 Mini Countryman which has built in navigation. There is a major road nearby which I use regularly (A46 to the East of Nottingham) which has had major works completed between 2009 and 2012 but which are not included on the navigator map.
I have contacted both the dealer and Mini customer services to ask why the map is so out of date and obviously to request an update to be installed. I am being advised by my dealer that I have the latest maps and that I would need to pay another £200 for the next update, and have been told by Mini that it is not their problem as I brought the car through an 'independent' Mini dealer!
I cannot believe that I have the latest map if such a major construction project dating back to 2009 and which was completed and opened in June 2012, is not included. I seem to be hitting a brick wall with regards for an explanation or assistance from Mini, and at the moment feel as I have paid a major amount of money for an out of date product!
I was just wondering if anybody can shed any light on this for me?
