Anyway to get Digital MPH and avg MPG displayed at the same time?

Hi there!

Just got my 2007 Mini Cooper today and love it! But, just one annoyance - my rev counter computer will only show the digital MPH and temp. I can press the stalk button to flick through the other options but if I cant seem to get the displays to stop on MPH on top and avg MPG on the bottom - it just shows avg MPG on bottom for a few seconds and then flicks back to temp.

Anyway to do this?

Many thanks!!

The only way to do so is by using NCS expert and program your car. Its in KOMBI module...

Have they changed the speedo cluster since 2007? My 2011 MCS shows the digital speed at all times, and lets you choose what you see beneath that..be that temperature, instant MPG, average MPG, distance to empty, etc.

Is the on-board computer an option?

My recently acquired Cooper S Clubman never shows the mph digitally, and I want it to. Just shows mpg, miles travelled. How to I get mph?

Yes, it does, I was being stupid.

It shows MPH (or KPH) in the bigger LCD display in the rev counter.

My 07 MCS had the same style screen as my current 13 MCS, however the pre-face lift ( 2007 - 2010 ) did display differently.
The MPH was only in the top section if you flicked through to select it in the lower section, if you left it there for a few seconds it would then swap to the top part. Only then would it display the MPH in the top section, otherwise it wouldn't.
Post facelift MPH is always on the top and you flick through the options on the lower screen.
Hope this makes some sort of sense, been a while since I had it but I remember it being different.

My early 2010 car is as described, and I also find it's not possible to keep the MPH at the top along with mpg at the bottom.
