New Carbon fibre dash

Finally found out how to remove the dash inlays so set to work with the Carbon Fibre 3D effect vinyl !!!
the inlays were piano black but I found the reflection very distracting while driving, really pleased with the final result.

Looks very good. How did you remove the dash inlays and was the wrap easy to apply? Is it difficult to get it around the curved sections?

Hi there,
I have the non secret compartment dash so it was a matter of just pulling the trims off as they are just clipped in. The wrap is pretty easy to apply but you must use a hair dryer to heat the vinyl to make it super stretchy so you can get it round the curves and corners with out getting creases in it.
Any bubbles can simply be popped with a pin and smoothed out.
Hope that helps mate.
Jim.

Yeah that,s good for the Mini, looking beautiful and its different from other dash board style.I would like to use this Carbon Fiber in my Mini Cooper. Its of 2nd generation and in black color. So i think this carbon fiber suits in Mini, looking graceful.Nice to know about it.

Hi Habi222, the 3D vinyl wrap is from ebay, it has texture to it as opposed to just a print so it looks pretty real.
Its a cheap mod and pretty simple to do if you take your time.
Here is one of many vids on youtube to show how its done.
