it doent 'block' the operation, but it does hit it every time you hit it to turn right apparently. which i guess would be annoying .

Might it depend on how you have the steering wheel adjusted for reach?

In the photo I took, the indicator stalk seems nowhere close to the Openometer.....

Good point, here it is fully back: Twitpic - Share photos on Twitter but when the wheel is closer to the driver, there's loads of space.
