Well, I can't see it holding it's value like the last one what with BMW stepping up production, plus when the MINI first came out it was a novelty, now there are thousands out there. I have my name down for the new S but to be honest I reckon I'm gonna have to give it a miss as I cannot possibly justify £18500 (chili, met paint and DSC) on a MINI no matter how good it is. Not unless I get a stonking trade in price for my MCSC.

Getting free TLC and they gave me the best trade in price too! (although they are my regular dealer so they wanted to hold onto my custom). Will try my damndest to blag some discount on the dealer fit options I am getting when I pick up the car (driving lamps and ipod connection) but I dont hold out much hope!!

I work for one of the high street banks. One of my staff perks is to be able to buy cars through the bank at a discount (from about 0% to 25% off depending on the car).

For the entire lifespan of the R50, R52 and R53 there was £0 discount available on any MINI's. Our purchase system has just updated for the R56 and is offering £200-£350 discounts depending on which R56 you want!

I admit its not much, but wierd that the new model has a discount.

I have the same discount with my company purchase scheme. It's done on a pcp type contract, but we get around £200 of the list price on a Cooper!

I was offered a free armrest so as not to go to another dealer in another state (CT), ended up having to pay $200 for the installation. So after paying for the Dealer Prep ($185) Runner fee ($40 thats to run to the desk to grab a license plate) , adn Financing Fee ($60) they felt bad and threw in the floor mats.
