Angry Cooper S delivery - ahead of schedule!!

A few of you know I've got an S on order - spec pretty much finalised and ready to go. Also some of you may remember that I've got delivery/production on hold until I return to the UK to live (in the new year). Well to my surprise I've just been told it's going to be at the dealer's before 18th December With delivery before or just after Christmas

A nice surprise - sort of. But I'm not going to be back in the UK until February or March at the earliest

I've got to find out who's messed up and called in the order too soon without my go ahead

This complaint must be a first

Do you need someone to "look after" it until you get back??

SHOT-GUN!

HA HA! Its all mine! Woohoo!

Excellent and terrible all at once...If you allow others to use it before March you'll not get that new car feel But if it sits at the garage then thats a travisty as MINIs are meant to be driven

Oh no! We knew that you were out of the country why didn't your dealer think about it?!!? This is awful! Good luck with complaining!

PS I'll drive it to Sweden for you and deliver it to you free of charge if you like!

I don't want either option really - although it's exciting as well in a way. I want the dealer to sort out their screw up

The dealer does know. That are totally up to speed with my situation.

And since my test drive, don't think I haven't been plotting how to get the car delivered asap and then driving it or shipping it up here Thanks for the offer though, Laura - you'd be running it in for me

Thats a bit of shame KP. Does it have the right spec on it? I know you were talking about changing it.

Well the spec is pretty much firm, but we aren't totally sure on roof colour: body, black or white. I think the order stands at body. But then Oxygen Blue has been a temptation, especially if we're waiting until March or thereabouts. Not to mention LSD

I have to see what kind of replies I get back from the dealer tomorrow .....

No update on this I have to find out from the dealer what they can do about it. All I've heard is the car will be ready for delivery this month and will be kept in secure storage until I can pick it up.

It still peeves me about the spec though since it's not my ideal. Maybe I can get them to re-spray the roof or add extra lights or stripes or free TLC? Or all of the above?

Is ordering a new car not an option? Surely the dealer can put this car in the showroom and order you a new one?

It is the dealers mistake after all?

Alternatively as you say the dealer fit accessories brochure could be raided
