| Persoanlly (if budget allows) I would go for the brushed alloy finish. I have it on mine, and I must say it finishes the interior really well. I originally opted for piano black, but after a few very useful comments on here I changed my mind and I am really happy with the look! http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...eriorClose.jpg Ben. | I would recommend the leatherette (if it's a free choice in the UK). Seeing it in person I was really impressed and I think it will hold up way better than cloth. That said, I went all out and did Lounge Leather... and thought it was ungodly expensive, I have zero regrets. It was a worthwhile splurge IMO. ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. | Not a fan of the standard 'checquered' finish. I thought long and hard about what to spec on mine for delivery 1st Sept. Here's my thoughts. Piano Black - Really nice but had this finish on my Audi A3 and it scratches and shows every mark easily - storage compartment lid would be a nightmare. Brushed Alloy - Looks and feels fantastic, real quality, but personally don't think this 'goes' with chrome line interior, which i think is a must. Fluid Silver - The option i went for, as i think the silver theme ties in nicely with the other silver accents in the cabin. But i have bought Carbon Fibre das trim pieces in waiting for 1st sept. ![]() Just my opinion / observations on seeing all trim options, but hope it helps. 57 Plate R56 PW/B MCS |

| Go for brushed alloy. It's far more 'substantial' than the other plastic trims. I've driven a few R56s and the ones with the plastic trim seemed more prone to creaks/rattles than the brushed alloy. Also the brushed alloy doesnt mark as easily as the others, and even if you did scratch it, the scratches would almost blend into the brushed markings. |

| I have the standard chequered trim on my S, and I'm quite happy with it. I have carried the chequered theme through out the car though. JCW mat's and a chequered roof!
