The going rate for R56 17" Wheels and MCS bumpers/grille?

I am having the JCW Aerokit fitted to my new MCS so was wondering what the going rate was for the MCS bumpers and grille(which I presume the dealer will box up and shove in my boot for me)? Also I am pretty keen to get some R105's to match the 'sport' look of the PW/Black combo I have gone for. With this in mind how much are virtually new sets of 17" Flames or 17" Crowns worth with tyres?

By selling the bumpers and wheels I am hoping it will go some way towards funding the 105's

Now before people start saying, check the classifiedes eBay etc - I have noticed a few in the classifieds here, however none have a price on them, and they never seem to crop up on ebay very often (not th enew R56 style anyway). Given that and what people advertise them for and what they actually sell for are two different things, so if there is a general going rate?

Get your dealer to buy your 17's as part of the deal. My dealer gave me £500 for mine and a discount on the R105's leaving a balance of £775. You'll not get more than £500 selling them privately.

The bumper sets are not fetching very much for some reason ( if i had a cooper i'd be after a set ) They have cropped up on e-bay a few times ( one on at moment IIRC ) and they struggle to fetch any higher than £160-200.

Nice colour choice / combo by the way as long as you don't live close to me

Oh by the way, there is no way you'll fit a boxed bumper in your MINI nevermind both of them. It took me two trips in an BMW X3 to get my spare set from the dealers.

Reminder to self....................must pick up my spare bits from Tuning kit upgrade

Good going

Although i still think it's a better deal to get £500 from dealer. No selling fees / collection from dealer / hassle and time to swap them over.

Bugger, I was hoping they would fit in with the rear seats and front seat folded down. The dealer I have managed to negotiate the huge discount from is a 400 mile round trip away, so I'm now not sure how I'm going to get it all back!

The dealer has offered to deliver the car for free, but it means one of their people driving it down to Bristol, which obviously I am not keen on! So, I was going to train it up and drive it back myself. Perhaps I could pay them to deliver it on the back of a flatbed, and then they can bring the bumpers with it...

It's really surprising how big the bumpers are when you actually try and get them in a car, nevermind the HUGE boxes. I'll measure the boxes up tonight to give you an idea of size if that helps

No problem mate - they all have targets to met so it's just a case of getting the right dealer at the right time, and then pushing them to the limit and beyond!
