Post Is this a fault?

Hello,

I purchased a 60 plate Cooper S last year. I have recently become aware of the engine re-starting before I have depressed the clutch.

At first, I thought my foot might have pressed it ever so slightly. Now I know it happens after a minute or two. Is this normal under any driving conditions, or does it sound like a fault has developed?

I'd appreciate your advice.

It doesnt sound like a problem, I have noticed it happens with my car. It seems to be if you are using high power consumption things like air con, lights etc, then you find the car will automatically start to keep the battery from draining. Im sure its in the car manual somewhere.
