Brake Countdown Reset on Instrument Panel

Brake Countdown Reset on Instrument Panel - anyone know how u reset this ?

I have fitted new pads to my sisters 2007 cooper s and need to reset the countdown timer which is currently telling her she needs new front pads in 2500 miles and new rears in 9000 miles.

She called in at the dealers and they wanted to book it in to check the pad sensors etc. Despite her assuring them the sensors had not been activated they wouldn't help.

I had the rear pads changed the other day and they forgot to reset the service monitor. I went back in and the service adviser got in the car with it running and was going through the menu select button on the turn stalk. It looked like he was using the odometer reset button after he pulled up the correct menu. It looked like he had to do it a couple of times. I wish I was in the car when he did it but I guess resets are an insider secret. Wish I could be more help but I thought you might have an answer by now. If you do have the answer please let me know.
