Don't wan't to steer the thread too off topic but basically if you want to change to standard tyres I think there are kits for the non S Mini variants to get an under mounted spare wheel but the S you can't get one because the exhaust is in the way! However you can buy a kit from Mini that is a non run-flat puncture kit that sits under your boot mat.

didn't think it affected the countryman thought is was just cooper s & jcw models

I'd rather push my mini than drive a ford or anything french..

Criteria for buying a diesel..1)long journeys.2)motorway miles.3)minimum 14k mls per yr..

Took mine in for a coolant leak. Momentum Mini said they will check out the leak and take care of the recall issue at the same time. Turns out the main water pump was leaking so they replaced both water pumps under warranty at 43,000 miles on my 2008 S.

MCS Recall

Just had my MCS 08 model water pump replaced and all good, could not fault my local mini dealer .
