Random misfire

I have an 07 mcs with 42k on her. I was coming home from a trip and it started misfiring. I limped it home and pulled the ignition coils and got the plugs out. One of the grounds had bent up and was touching the electrode. I have no idea why it happened but replacing the plugs with factory NGks didnt remedy the problem. My question is what else could it be? I have read possibly the hpfp?

Hi

It could be the high pressure fuel pump I think there under warrantee on the 2007 MCS might be worth asking.
If the electrodes were touching it may have damaged a lead or the coil. It might be worth trying to borrow one and test it.
Have you got any fault codes from the DME
