Buying a high mileage cooper s r56 - what to look out for?

Hi there;

Im looking at buying a mini cooper s r56 (2007).

I have seen a particular example and im going to view / test drive it with view to buy.

It has all the extras sat nav c/control etc.

Body work and interior look mint - it has done close to 120,000 miles.

Is this an issue? I have been told the tensioner issue has been sorted which I hear is a big problem?

Also I have read oil consumption is high? I am coming from a 2005 cooper convertible is the oil consumption different?

Some cars have loads more miles and are still very strong.
Just with high mileage cars they will have done some wear and tear.
But if looked after there should be no problem.
Someone may help you out and leave a buyers guide on here to help you. I don't have the link sorry.
Make sure it has a good service history.
