09 cooper S 'free' service rip off.

I have found out I have 1 'free' service left on my cooper s.(09) 35k miles. My local dealer has said I would have to pay 65 for brake fluid change...the rest is free.
I have also the option to take out another 3 yrs service pack for 277. This seems a good deal. I wonder how much of the service work may not be free though.

They do like to charge on bits. I take it you'll bee keeping the car out of warranty? If so there's plenty of independents out there that are reasonable for serving

You will have to pay for the second brake fluid change but you don't have to pay the dealer to do it.
I think that TLC XL is worth the money, I'll go for it when mine expires.At 98 for one oil change it has to be a bargain.

The 277 for next 2-3 services must beat the independents. I will look at them in the future thats for sure.

Sounds good. Go with that then. Leave pads and discs to independents though as MINI will pull your pants down for those
