Sorry to bring up yet another Vs, but i thought i would share it with you as i have a few questions.
Anyway so i have owned an R56 Factory
JCW for a bit now , i love it although it has been back to the garage with some problems which are all sorted. As far as i know it is completely standard, but its flipping fast, i used to own a Corsa VXR Arctic and its in a completely different league to that!
Ok onto the race, so my freind has hired out some private land just to do some testing on his race car, so he asks me and another frind if we want to go, of course we say yes as it could be an oppeetunity to test our cars. So we go meet him and he says do you want a play as he was fidling with his car changing it etc.
Of course we say yes (So it will be Mini
JCW vs Audi S3) we decided not to do a standing start as it was slightly damp and i was sure the S3 would leave me anyway so i didnt want to be humiliated off the line as well. So we do a rolling start (Just to clarify my mini completely standard) (S3 has a forge intercooler and full Miltek exhaust from downpipe to back box - it was bought that way and so were not sure if its remapped). Rolling start from 30mph 2nd gear. 3-2-1 off we go, its equal up to about 50mph then the audi starts to pull, im thinking yep here he goes but no he edged forward so basically my front bumper was along side his back bumper and it stayed like that all the way to 125mph where we had to back off due to grass.
Now i dont know whether these mini's are just proper fast or has mine been remapped (Although is is a lot lighter and they do seem to come out as 235-245 standard)but even with those modifications and no remap that S3 surely has more than 275bhp
