Mini dealer..good deal on new tyres.

I have my mini in today for its last TLC service. I know i needed x2 front tyres. I sort these out cheaply my self off of the net and use a local tyre fitter £9 per tyre fitted.
However mini (knights in Stoke) Have fitted me x2 Continental Sport Contact 3
205/45/R17 For £250 . I pretty pleased with this price. They sort of matched the internet price of £253 for the newer sport contact 5 I quoted. The sport contact 3 has good reviews so happy with a main dealer for once

Great ! how did the service go I have my JCW booked in for a 1st TLC service at Knights south staffs in stafford this week. Athough I have used them in the past for my old cooper s and they were always good .

Is the quality of the oil ect the same on a TLC service to the one you have to pay for because I was going to ask if you can upgrade the oil to a premium oil if not as I do very low mileage

I am not sure on the oil spec. I guess its the usual bmw recommended oil. I had to pay out £33 on a sensor(brake). The TLC included spark plugs oil change pollen filter air filter. Any thing else on top and you pay ..i.e brake fluid change if required.

My JCW is in for the 1st service but it says it requires a brake fluid change but the dealer has said it is covered on the TLC

Going by the new 'tyre ratings', I'd have paid the extra £3 and got the Sport Contact 5's
In fact, I did, best online fitted price I found for all 4 was £508.99
