Steering wheel buttons, heated mirrors

Hi folks, my car is a 56 plate coopers s, I've got the multi function steering wheel but,.......on the left hand side by the stereo control's there are 2 smaller button, 1 with a telephone diagram and the other with a face with lines from it, both switches appear to do nothing is this normal

Plus,
Heated mirrors, do they work with the rear heated screen as they do not demist, I've got power to the mirrors for movement but nothing else,,,

Thanks in advance,

Sean

The steering wheel buttons are for Bluetooth and voice command. If the car was built without these options they do nothing.

I believe the heated mirrors work entirely on their own, based only on the outside temperature and not on any other device like heated screen that you might use.

I've found that mine take quite a while to clear the mirrors, so it's easy to believe they aren't working initially - for example, sitting idling waiting for the mirrors to clear isn't practical. But after a few minutes, I've never found them not to have worked when there is any condensation to clear, so they do seem to work OK, just slowly.

Mine don't even start to clear even after 15 minutes of driving. Seems a bit long.
