New Zealand Esys Coding for R56 Cooper S

I'm new to the Mini Forum and would like to ask a few questions.

Has anyone on the forum performed any Esys coding on the R56?

In fact, is it possible using the OBDII cable and the BMW E-Sys programme?

The main reason I am asking is that I own a BMW F30 and have been able to code out the legal disclaimer of the computer system on start up - saves having to press the I-drive controller every time you start the car and allows SatNav and graphical parking sensors to fire up straight away.

I would like to do the same on my wife's Cooper S.

Thanks in advance

The R56 is similar to Exx BMWs binary-wise so coding will need to be done with NCSExpert. You need SP_Daten files instead of the PSZ (or whatever) for Esys and the program does not need a key to function. In this regard, it is actually easier than E-sys (from what I read). You should be able to use the same INPA-compatible USB/OBD2 cable you use for the F30.

Yes, what you want to do is doable... I suggest you visit Northamericanmotoring to see how to do it.
