1. There may be a locking nut mechanism that you've upset. Are there two nuts on the same thread? Possibly one locking nut underneath the gear knob. If so, tighten then against each other.
2. Is there an Allen-key arrangement on a locking nut or on the base of the gear knob? If so, tighten the Allen key.
