mini running badly

Hello all I dont post that much as my mini has kinda been running fine. Im just wondering if anyone is having/had the same issues as me. I own a 2009 cooper s with 27000 miles on the clock. Now the problem im having recently is when I accelerate the car feels like it has no power and it back fires as its kinda embarrassing when the car can bearly do 20mph with out juddering. The car feels like it is steadly getting worse to a point where I think it will be un drivable. Ive had the car from new and it already had a fuel pump replacement and carbon build up removed from valves in the time ive had it. Has anyone got any ideas as im getting down dreading the thought of taking it to bmw for them to go ££££££££££££ to fix

Please help...... cheers ian

Coil pack? Goosed spark plugs? Blocked cat?

Who advised on carbon removal on 27k mile modern car and how did they do it?! It ain't a 1978 Austin Maxi. Please don't tell me you put redex in it.

Hi ya

You need to plug it in to a diagnostic machine there is no point guessing as it could be anything from plus to to bad fuel.

If you car is un drivable and your a member of the AA, RAC or similar call them out they will run a diag on it. You can get the codes then.

Also just because the fuel pump has been replace does not mean it's ok I have replaced brand new ones that have failed.

Anyway get it plugged in :-)

It was bmw mini that diagnosed the carbon build up and supposedly fixed it under warranty. I will just bite the bullet and get a diagnostic on it. Get it fixed and sell it, shame really good car let down by crappy parts. Think its time to go back to VW as they were far more reliable

Hi ya

It could be something silly and cheep causing it, so get a diag run on it see how it goes.
You can buy a cheap diag tool from ebay there are a few threads about which one to go for, there very basic but are handy for most modem cars and are a must.
Bare with it don't give up :-)

What Marque says or take it to an independent rather than BMW.
