compression test results

What should be the default/optimum compression test results for the R56S with the N14engine?

Hi

The problem is every engine is different I would say you you should be looking around the 180 psi mark.
The main thing is variation between cylinders you don't really want more more than 10 to 15 psi difference .
The problem is with a compression check is it is vague and sometime not that accurate and if the compression is low is it the valves intake or exhaust or rings.

I would say get a leak down test instead of a compression check at least that way if the leakage rate is high it's quick and easy to track down

Hope this helps
