Unhappy Radio Display Not working, also alert chime no longer audible

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and new to the Mini Cooper S. I love the car but i just so happened to have purchased a used one. everything has been working fine but the on speedometer stereo suddenly powered off and will not come back on. I've checked all the fuses in the passenger side panel that would have anything to do with that area but they've all turned up good. Anyone else have this problem or have any advice as to how to fix this? thank you all in advance!

OH YA! also forgot to mention all the rest of the console is lit and working. it seems to primarily be the display and speakers.

Hi guardin,I am a mini mechanic working in a main dealer.

What I would recommend doing this to remove you speedo/radio (they are one unit) and check for power to coming up to them when ignition is on. Also make sure you have a good battery voltage before starting to check for power. If you are getting power to the plugs. You will need to replace the radio/speedo unit and program unit to the car. Hope I have been of some help.

Thanks for the help Minitech. I also heard theres an internal fuse in the display which could be the problem. Not sure how true that is. tho I have seen that removing the dash and surrounding area to get to the radio/speedo unit is pretty tedious. I'm really hoping It's nothing major like replacing the entire unit.
