Sweden 2007 Mini Cooper S - No Burble and pop

I recently bought a 2007 Mini Cooper S. Im very happy with the car however after buying the cooper S largely for the wonderful exhaust note i was sad to hear no burbling and popping.. I did read somewhere that they did not programe it into the 2007 model, could this be true? If it is true is it possible to programe it in somewhere? Also considering getting a resonator delete pipe, for example the supersprint, would it amplify or encourage any burbling and popping?

Any help or advice is much appreciated!!!

If you 2007 Cooper S is a turbo rather than supercharged car then the exhaust note will be very different. My 2006 supercharged burbles and pops with a deresonated Miltek exhaust.

Hey, congrats on the new car

The second gen MCS should pop and burble just fine, both my hatches did and my coupe does like a boss !

There was a period of time that people reported it was being coded out of the ecu, however this was reverted back as people complained about it. It could be possible that this is the case for yours, not sure how you would check without going to the dealership.

It could also be a lot of carbon build up that is preventing it from popping and banging. Have you taken it for a spin to get it very very hot ? Also try using Shell V power ( a lot of people comment that this jungle juice works a treat for noise ! ). You should be able to play with the accelerator once nice and hot.

Good luck !

Thanks!!! Alright alright... Perhaps ill swing my my local Mini in order to get that checked up. Well i certainly have been doing a fair amount of revving and accelerating hard and its not really popping as much as i thought it would. Yeah i heard the same, ill go by shell on my way to work today and perhaps hit some country roads instead of the motorway hehe... well see how it goes, thanks!
