My stepsister has a R56 Cooper S, and she's going absolutely mental because she has arrived home to find that she is missing her Boot Spoiler! It has completely vanished, leaving behind only a plastic clip where it broke. Please could someone let me know how big of a job it will be to fit a new spoiler, and if we should send it to a garage. I am fairly mechanically adept, and we have some okay tools, I just don't want to damage the car further
we don't have a garage! she just got home and it was missing, we suspect foul play. Although i don't understand why someone would steal the spoiler, as it is a standard used part and they aren't that valuable. I think it might have just been some teenagers or something that broke it off. Is it something I can replace myself? if it's just 5 bolts it should be fairly simple, right?
I wouldn't think it would be hard to replace tbh. I've never had to replace one myself. Best advice is to buy a good second hand one and that way you will see the mounting points
My experience with youngsters and thier broken cars is they know exactly what happened, even if they say the opposite.
