The beige is lovely but i "think" you can only get it with beige coloured door trims - you might want to look at a car before deciding.

Is this pic any help? http://ollietebbuttmotors.co.uk/44.jpg I thought that beige was only available with beige door trims. The black and the beige both feel brilliant and really keep you in your seat, but IMO the beige look better because I like a "light" ambience.

it all depends on the other colours you are thinking of having

I saw a Black MC the other day with the beige leather and interior wolrd, and I must say it looked stunning, but it would not work in say a SS MINI or a DS MINI. Also even though it was a show room car the leather already looked dirty and worn, which kind of puts me off.

So what is the outside colour going to be?

Beige is very hard to keep clean. It's ok in a car that doesn't get much use say 5k/6k a year, otherwise I'd avoid it.

Ed,
see if you can actually sit down in both of them: I was all set to order the red lounge seats but had an opportunity to try them against the Punch black seating. Much to my surprise and irritation the lounge seating was not as comfy and hugging as the softer black leather. Odd , and not just my opinion , another bloke ordering at the same time also agreed with me.
I ended up completely changing my color spec on account of this, but am happy I made the right decision for me.
Car is due next week.

waiting.....
all the best

A few comments on this:

* I have beige leather in my company car and black leather in my MINI. The beige leather looks great when it's new, but it's impossible to keep the leather and beige plastics looking clean. The black interior of the MINI looks good all of the time and it's a complete doddle to look after the leather.

* The lounge leather seats are nicer to sit on than the conventional leather seats (Sorry, DrBeast, I agree with your taste in bikes, but can't agree with you on the seating); they are almost as nice as the leather sports seats from the R50, which is really good news.

* One of the very few practical things about the beige interior on the company car is the beige carpet! It never shows any sign of mud and dust. Purely in terms of good taste, beige carpet should be a legal requirement with beige leather! According to the UK configorator, whilst the R50 had colour keyed carpets, the R56 does not; it has to make do with standard black carpets throughout the range. This must simplify production, reduce stock holding and cut costs, but it looks cheap and compromised IMHO. This problem obviously goes unnoticed with a black leather interior!

Tigger.

I'd go for the carbon black lounge leather, - with piano black dash, tuscan beige will look great for a while but will be a nightmare to keep clean.

What's the rest of the spec?
