Advice Needed!!!!!

Hi all, iv had a nitemare, someone has reversed in to my brand new pw r56!, qouted £350 for bmw repair the person who did the reversing will pay and its not going through the insurance! However, i do not like the idea of a repaired bumper, so I am thinking maybe take the £350 and then make up the extra to fit a jcw front bumper does this sound like a good idea or not?

RegardsA G Bond

all depends on the amount of damage and how they will fix it, are you sure that they are going to repair the bumper, is it just a scuff, or is the bumper dented/pushed in or split?

Generally if its a scuff then a paint job sorts it out nicely, but £350 isn't cheap for just a paint job.

If its dented then it might be possible to pop it out and not see it, so I wouldn't worry.

If its split then they would normally go for a new bumper which would cost about £450-500.

On the old MINI the aero bumper would cost less than the standard bumper, but I've not seen prices on the new MINI, but I'd guess its about the same as standard TBH. I'd give Woodmans a call (see site sponsors) they are the cheapest and will be able to advise on prices for both bumpers.

The thing is it would for the most part it would polish out, an if the car was any more than 3WEEKS OLD!!! I would porbably just do that, but i want it to be right and like new, so if the qoute for the aero bumper is fair or maybe just a 100 quid more or so i think maybe a new aero bumper would be good? Il see what bowker say then give woodmans a ring

well if it would polish out I'd get the quote from MINI, give that to the fella, get the cash, and the call chips away to polish it out for £50

Pocket the £300 and put it towards a set of side skirts
