Question Automatic door locking

Right has anyone found the menu option to set the doors to auto lock when you drive off, like the mk1 minis used to?

I'm sure I read somewhere you can set it using the onboard computer but I cant seem to find the option anywhere

Yep you can, it's in the manual, I found I had to have the key in the ignition before it showed you the right menu

Insert the key and leave your feet of the clutch and press the Start brings on the ignition.

You cannot use the menu when the car is moving on when stationary with the engine running

Hahaha! How ironic!

I found this thread doing a search for a hack in order to STOP my R53 from locking the doors automatically. Anyone know where that answer can be found? I hate cars that try to outsmart me.

Funnily enough I had to actually start the engine to set mine
I though just the ignition would be enough but it didn't bring up the menus with the key symbol until I turned the engine over...

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

You sure the ignition was on? Sometimes you've only toggled the radio again instead of the ignition... as in, you saw the gas tank meter fill up? Cuz thats when I can set mine.

Perhaps, but untested, you can also do it w/ the engine on but I think only while not moving yet.

better explained as follows: each key saves the programmed settings, and thus if you use the second key as a spare (and not for someone else, say) then you may want to program the other key w/ your settings as well.
