| the factory setting is to have the speed in the lower part of the display and can be moved up and made bigger by holding in the button on the end of the stalk...is that what youre meaning? little bit confused...I was wondering if the setting can be switched back to stock? |
| |||
| If you have the speed displayed in the bottom of the tach, it will automatically move to the top of the tach after a few seconds. It has nothing to do with pushing the end of the turn signal stalk. But if you choose to display something other than the speed in the bottom of the tach (which you do change with the button on the stalk), then the speed will not display on the top. Instead, I believe the time will be displayed. |

| Please don't apologize. That's one of the reasons these forums exist. I can't tell you how many times people here and at NAM have helped me with questions and issues. Edited to add: I added a few words to my explanation above. You do need to push the button on the end of the stalk to change the bottom display, but if you choose to display the speed on the bottom, that's when it switches to the top automatically. I hope I'm not confusing you. |

| I've started leaving the speed display on the tach and switching the speedo/radio display to the OBC in the menu when I want to see fuel consumption, range, etc. The only problem with this setup is the time is not displayed anywhere. |
| ||||
| I know, I do the same and it's really annoying. I keep looking at the radio display for the time and it's not there! I've only just managed to re-educate myself from looking above the rear view mirror for the time (old R53 habits die hard) and now I still keep looking for a clock that isn't there. Damnit! |
| ||||
| You are right John but if you choose the OBC selection on the radio display the time vanishes ![]() Would have been nice for it to still be there without having to press the 'clock' button as I tend to leave the OBC display on most of the time. Ah well, we can't have everything and it's about the only moan I have about the setup so I shouldn't complain |
