Another newbee here

Hello all,

Been looking at this site ever since I bought my 2nd gen Cooper back in March so I thought I may as well join

As mentioned above I've had my Cooper (pure silver & black with Chili pack) for just over 5 months now and I love it to bits. It has done 4000 miles and has a couple of rattles, although I really should have not opted for the sports suspension with the quality of the roads around here!

Anyway, sorry for the long intro. I do actually have a question. Has anyone tried using the daytime driving light setting as mentioned in the handbook? I can't seem to find this in any of the menus. Is it perhaps something that is region specific (e.g. Scandinavia?)

It'll be interesting to know.

i dont think the daylights is enabled for uk cars as i do not have it in the options

It is definately an option as our Cooper was delivered with the daylight running lights turned on and we thought it was a fault with the automatic headlights. After a while scratching my head and reading the manual I did find it and managed to turn them off.

Interesting that there should be differences. Perhaps it might be a build date thing.? Mine was built in January 2007.

mine was built apr 07 perhaps its something to do with the auto lights as i dont have them

Ours was built Feb 07.

Could be connected with the auto headlights.

I think you have to have the auto lights, I haven't and I don't have the daylight option.
