United-Kingdom The Ka is dead (pranged badly) long live the mini cooper

Well the write off confirmation on my wife's KA is due tomorrow. The car we want is at the dealers. Its so close to the spec we wanted that we could not wait for a new one to be built.

My question to you all is this.

Should I be feeling as anxious as I am? Is it the thought of shelling out the most money ever apart from the house. I hadn't checked this site prior to the test drive and prior to finding the car? I know the purpose of this site is to spread the word as a community but it has put the willies up me a bit!

Will someone please put my mind at rest that the Astro black chilli Cooper sat at ELMS bedford is a good idea?

You're probably asking the wrong people in here!

But of course go for it.

I felt just the same Gaz. I'd had my 206 gti for 8 years and hated parting with it. It was in ex condition but was hardly worth anything due to its age, so buying the mini was a huge decision for us. I had an old classic mini years ago and used to have so much fun in it and since buying my MCS only 3 months ago I've never had so much fun in years ! You seriously wont regret it. Join a local mini club and go to all the mini events. I am seriously addicted already. Have fun when you get it

Me and the girlfriend have just brought a brand new mini cooper together, got delivered last Tuesday. The most i have spent on a car before this is £2000. I'm 30 and not on the property ladder yet So i think I'm feeling a similar way to you. Sounds like you got nothing to worry about.
