Angry R56 Cooper Problem!

After taking delivery of my new Astro Black Cooper on the 1st march I was thrilled with it, it was a huge spec too everything I wanted as I had ordered it back in January

2 weeks in drivers door window has failed, it wont drop down and lower the window when i open the door, so I took it back to the dealer who was very busy and after resetting it said I would have to bring it back in, so I put up with it for the weekend, Im driving down the motorway loads of rain, next minute it opens itself it try to shut it it then goes all the was up to the top and closes then re opens half way im struggling to get it to close and had to pull into the services by this time im soaked! eventually i get it to shut only by having the door open at the same time, took it back to the dealer on tuesday they've still got it, they had to ask BMW for assistance and when BMW cam back they said it needs a new footwell module (which I assume is an electrics control box) however its out of stock and wont be in till the end of next week at the earliest - This is simply not acceptable!

Ive called BMW customer service and they said they'll look into it, and they've never got back to me - Has anyone got any experiences of MINI Customer Services, I'd like to know

Im starting to really regret buying this new mini never had any problems like this with my old R50 ONE

What everyone thinking?

Is this is this acceptable behaviour from BMW

The spec of my car was in excess of £20k

You're right, it is totally un-acceptable behaviour. Don't let one worry put you off - When the cars fixed, its the best thing there is. Our car had to go back to the dealer numerous times to sort out an EM problem, and it was infuriating to say the least, but now its fixed, its fantastic Don't give up just yet

I know it is annoying, but faults can and do occur.

The dealer seems to be doing all it can to resolve this one issue.

Have they provided another car for you to use free of charge?

Yes dealer has been good and leant me another car - but its not my car unfortunately

What has really really angered is BMW's lead time on the part, nobody has called me back, no apology Its very poor service indeed, the fact there out of stock is simply not good enough

The guy from customer services said he would be more angry than me if this happened to him! Great is that supposed to make me feel better, Its the fact that they really dont know when the part is going to be back in stock! Pathetic!

Its a MINI Mis-adventure!

If you are that angry, tell the dealer to whip the part out of a new showroom car.

Hi Ken, yes have already thought of that they said that it had to be coded to my vehicle spec and they couldn't do that, and then promptly told me they could have done if it had been the older model R50 not really sure what to think now

It may need coded but any part should be able to be configured to your car, I would have thought!
