Mini Cooper Petrol Automatic Average MPG?

Hi I am new here so please forgive me for any mistakes.

I have just bought a brand new Mini Cooper Petrol Automatic with 10 miles on the clock, it arrived two days ago and I have been driving it normally for those few days. I noticed on the on board computer that my Average MPG is 29 - I am quite worried since I was quoted from the dealer that it would do an average of 35 around town.

Will the fuel economy rise once the car has been 'worn-in' slightly?

What are other people's MPGs?

I get 41 on the computer for 95% A road and motorway driving (57 reg with 21,000 on the clock).

On the few occasions I drive around town I would be very surprised if I hit 35.

As a rule it should build up a wee bit.
