Mini Cooper mini mod

Hi all,

I am new to the forum so please be gentle. I am thinking about buying a mini cooper 2007. I live in london so there is no point getting a cooper s but I love the aggressive look of the cooper s. I am not too ott with mods. I was just thinking about changing the front grilles to the black cooper s ones and possibly changing the bonnet so I get the air vent.

The questions I wanted to ask (more to do with the newer model, as previous threads were for the first generation minis) are:

- will the grilles on the cooper s fit the normal cooper? And if so, would I be able to buy genuine parts from BMW?
- will I be able to buy a eom cooper s bonnet from BMW and put onto the normal mini? I know that the cooper s bonnet is slightly hire because of the supercharger but that shouldn't affect the engine right?
- does anyone know anyone who has done the able., and if so are there any pictures?

Hi,

Any mod is possible but sometimes requires you to adapt bits to make it fit, as long as its not pre and post facelift.

Just a quick note, have you checked with your insurance what they will charge you once you fit the cooper s bonnet? make it look like a cooper s and the chances of it getting stolen increase as will your insurance, just check that out first!

I am adding a cooper s spoiler to my mini one and my insurance is going up buy £29 per month!!

You need a Cooper S and then make it look like a MINI First, look real cool with plastic wheel trims
Youve then got a wolf in sheeps clothing.

It's a straight swap for the cooper s bonnet to a cooper.
