C-Clamp to replace tire valve stem

Can I use a C-Clamp to break the bead on the tire? I think my valve stem is leaking very slowly using a soapy water method. I don’t know how much it will cost to replace it so I want to do it myself. I have an 8” clamp that will fit over the tires (175/65/R15? stock). Have you guys had an experience with this or heard stories? Otherwise, how much would it cost to replace one? Thanks.

Ive known tyre replacement companies of the quicker fitting variety replace a valve for free if you give them the nudge and a wink to say you will be in there for new tyres shortly.
Ive had one done for free, worth a try??

To break the bead on a tyre they only use a pneumatic clamp that presses down on the tyre edge to break the bead so I suppose you could achieve the same result with a G clamp with care but you'll need a high pressure air supply to blow the tyre back up to pop it back in place afterwards, Plus if the tyre moves it will probably need rebalancing too.
