sounds like your VANOS actuator isn't working to well - have you got reduced power per chance?

I know these aren't the same codes, but it's likely a similar issue -

ANYONE know where this actuator is or what it might look like?
I even went to parts sites and they dont even have an image of it.
Might be easy to clean or replace if i could find it.
