Mini Cooper S problems

Hi All

My Friend recently bought a Cooper S... He has had a raft of issues including a chain snap, gear linkage popped off and a few other minor issues..

He recently had a Terraclean and a ECU remap done (taking it to around 214 hp)..

Today he changed the turbo intake pipe as the old one was cracked... He then said he pressed the 'Sport' button and then the car just died (not sure if thats definitley the chain of events but that all happened today)..

Once he lost the power the car sounded like a go cart.. and sounded like it was missing.. Like a machine gun under medium revs

On checking the error codes the following were showing P0302 P0304 (cylinder 2 and 4 misfire), P2740 and p277d Transmission fluid temp sensor and Electric transmission fluid pump B motor over temp..

Any ideas? Could it be the Map? And how would the 2nd lots of codes be related?

He has swapped over the coil packs and it stays with cylinder 2 and 4.. Hasnt changed the plugs but I cant imagine 2 going at the same time..

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

first off do a compression test find out what each cylinder is doing, if all ok change plugs and coil packs to the other cylinders see if misfire move with them, dropping a 224bhp map on a auto box is always a gamble ie extra load will cause higher temps as it transmit heat to the oil. anything dropped in the inlet pipe from turbo when it was removed, wiring harness on engine check it for damage

extra power extra load nothing like a remap to find weakness also find remaps will eat spark plugs as well.
