Official BMW released pictures

sorry to dissappoint you guys but I am a graphic designer, and I have friends that worked for jaguar and BMW, and the truth is even the official pictures are photoshopped... the only difference is these guys and gals who does the official pics are so good that you can't even tell they they've been messed with.

Not disappointed here, would be surprised if the official pics weren't photo-shopped.

That is very true. We may be dismissing these pictures as a bad photoshop but there is no reason why it can't show exactly what the bodykit is going to look like.

I remember the original aerokit brochure had the bodykit photoshopped onto a stock picture of the Cooper.

I've looked at the exterior pics of the 2007 and don't like it--I've ordered a 2006 base convertible (US) and am glad I'm getting the 2006. What I teally don't like is the new angle of the headlights--looks too much like one of the cars in the animation Roger Rabbit. The new shape is too boxy.

Funny how subtle changes can have a huge impact.

Thoughts, anyone?

At first glance I intuitively liked it. The new grill is fantastic and the whole look is overall simpler. Since then I've tried to pick apart my thought on various features as they became available. I'm definitely on board. What interested me most was recent photos of "new" and "old" MINI on the same auto transport. From that angle is was easy to see the higher wasteline and narrower windows. In the end....aside from stylistic features that we may or may not like over the previous MINI, there are so many other benefits to the new car (talking Coopers here...I'm a Cooper guy) that they put the whole car in the "improvement category" for me. That's not to say that R50-53 is obsolite now...I think it's a classic....but there are definite benefits both ways and MINI owners are just going to have to square with that as they see fit. I think/hope the MINI community will find creative ways to embrace the new car while still very much venerating the outgoing model.

It's exactly what I said before just because they are photoshop pictures doesn't mean they don't show the finished product.
