Lightning Blue pics...

Partner has just picked up his new Lightning Blue Cooper ...... I have ordered a cooper S in the same colour, but decided I would have the chilli red instead so changed my spec for the 4th time now!!! (Building it week 4) :-)

If you want any other pics then let me know and will post some on here for you.... by the way the sunroof is great, been playing with it all the way back from the dealer!!! (even though it was raining)

Have you had the windows tinted aftermarket? The rears look a lot darker.

Olly, I have got my MCS in Lightning Blue. WOW. It looks great. Its a real head turner. Bloody great. The only problem is not being able to go above 4k on the revs. It really wants to fly.

Windows were done at the dealer, by a guy who does tinting...... limo black at the back and sides and just legal'ish on the front!

needs clear bulbs all round mate (headlights, rears and indicators!! looks really good tho!!

Are clear bulbs expensive and difficult to fit ?? Or can a novice like me do it quite easily ?? Also, I have ordered a Cooper S will the bulbs be the same on that as they are on this (very orange and in your face) or will they be clear ones ??? Ta.

On the Cooper S they are standard clear lenses where as on the Cooper they are a £50 option.

Unfortunately new bulbs won't cure the problem as you have orange lenses as well.

I fail to see why Mini still use orange lenses and bulbs.... argh, for the sake of making a quick £50?
Well.... I just think it really spoils the looks of the car and its a shame, atleast change the side repeaters the fronts and rears are very expensive to change afterwards and are no so in your face
