Door Protectors

Hi all

I was wondering what people do to protect the doors.

The mini have big doors and sometimes you have to park close to a wall or other potentially unfriendly surface and have the door rest against it while you do your patented Yoga inspired escape trick.

I have seen Big ugly black things that clip onto the door edges that would protect the door from scraping or banging, but would hate to put them on my Mini.
But on the otherside I would hate to damage the paint job on the door.

Does anyone know of something stylish and effective I can use ?

I wouldn't use anything, apart from a piece of cloth (which you can keep in the door storage area) to put between the door and a wall if you are parking close. Past experience of those door plastic protectors was not good - they leave marks on your paintwork.

You could get Lambo doors: BMW MINI.

But then, you'd have to worry about hitting the ceilings in some places.

They sell door protectors on My Beautiful Mini!, The Home of Reasonably Priced Mini Accessories -they go along the door-mid height not along the edge though?!

(look under 'exterior chrome trim' section-pg 2)

Dont use the clip on edge protectors they WILL rub the paint as they do move slightly. Why not be careful opening doors then you wont ding any one elses car either!
Shouldnt need door edge protectors if you take care.
