Tow Bar

Well as the title says does anyone know if there will be a Tow bar released for the R56 like the was the previous MINI

i had one on my first cooper and am now looking at changing to the cooper D but i will require a Tow bar for towing my bike trailer total weight will be about 500KG trailer and 2 motorcross bikes

I saw a Cooper with one on in December!
Don't know if it was official but it looked a bit dodgy as it covered up most of the rear fog light on the rear bumper. I'm sure Scrogg will know if you ask him.

Witter don't list one even in development yet
I cant see the physical attaching being a problem, but you must be very carefull as the new rear lights do not operate in a standard way

Was this an R56 cooper or the original Mini as i had one on my original 03 cooper

took a few seconds to register what it was, I was sat behind it at a junction waiting to turn.

If the one you saw in December was an R56 (and I have no reason to doubt it was) then it was an aftermarket one that was made to fit, rather than specifically designed for the MINI.

As Mikey has already said, Witter have not even started looking at doing one yet, and there is nothing on the most up-to-date MINI dealer-fit accessory list.

Despite how few 1st Generation ones were actually sold, I'm (fairly) sure there will be an OEM one at some point, but couldn't even guess how long it will be.

Ye defo an R56, like I said, it covered most of the rear fog lamp and didn't look quite right. It may well have been an aftermarket jobby.
I was quite surprised as it was only the second R56 I have seen around my way.
If I see it again I will try and get a pic on my phone for you.
